Corrected Main Task

After our main task was completed our teacher watched it and gave us some feedback on how she thought we would be able to improve it slightly. One thing that came up in her feedback that matched what other members of the class had to say was that our titles did not fit the style of film that we had produced. We spent time looking at our options for the change and decided on a different one but we kept the colour the same as it showed up clearly on the footage.
Here is the copy of the corrected film.

Titles And Editing of them.

Here we changes the title to a black background so that it fits into our movie genre of horror. Also I used outter glow to make the titles look bigger than the other titles used in our movie.

Changing the Animated Logo.

Before we posted our film we changed the logo from Paramount to New Line cinema. Paramount was a bit over the top for our film. We changed it so that New line could fit into our movie and create an atmosphere of horror as the logo is very dark and murky. Also we had a lot of feed back from our class mates who told us to change the ending titles of " In the Shadows" to make it bigger and brighter so that it stands out from the titles of the opening credits. I also personally took the task to make the titles of the opening credits on Photoshop. The editing was easier to do as I just fade in and out the titles. Also in our Oceans Productions title we stretched the music out so that the scary music starts on the production title.

This afternoon in class we converted our final main task in to a windows media file so that we were able to put the film on our blog. This was successful and we are now awaiting other class members to give us feedback.

2/2/10 Coursework

This afternoon in class we were looking at making titles in our film. Currently the only things missing from our film is a second piece of music and titles. We were looking through different trailers from other films to help inspire us with our one. This was very effective and helped us chose which type we should use. In the end we narrowed our decision down to either ones that paused a character in action and introduced them and the other one was to have them running as the character was talking on screen without stopping the video. We decided to go for the second option in the end and I think I speak for the whole group by saying that we are very happy with the end product. At the moment the first 2 titles are complete and next lesson our objective is to complete all of them. Also this afternoon I was looking for some more music to fill the gaps in the video. This went well as I found one very suitable song and I am looking to finish this task in tomorrow's lesson.
